We have our first podcast spotlight! Please welcome Kyle (Left) and Do (Right) from “Thats a Good Card”! Let’s learn more about them!

What is your podcast about?

  • “Every week we release a podcast discussing one particular card we think should see more play in CEDH. While one of the two hosts advocates for the card, the other plays the devil’s advocate - pointing out downsides to the card. Ultimately we come to a conclusion of whether or not the card is good enough to see more play in CEDH!”

What cEDH deck do you play?

  • “I’m a Korvold one-trick-pony! Even post Dockside-ban you’ll see me pulling up to every tournament with Landfall Korvold sleeved up and ready to go. It is a personal goal of mine to take down a SeaEDH tournament, and getting the honor of naming the next SeaEDH event “Regicide: Lands Will Fall” the name of my Landfall Korvold list!”

How has the SeaEDH Community had an effect on your content?

  • “The SeaEDH Community has had a tremendous impact on our content. I’m so lucky to be living in a place with such a strong CEDH community. My views of the meta, card recommendations, and tournament experience all stem from this community.”

For this week, we have one of the OG members of the SeaEDH community Bailey aka @btots!

In this article, Bailey breaks down the new set Aetherdrift and give us his top picks that can potentially make their way into cEDH!

What do you like most about the new set?

  • “I think that Aetherdrift is a phenomenal set from not only the concept, but the card designs it’s not every set that you get eight cards that could ever possibly be a Cedh deck.”

This week we feature Erik aka @tengupnw, and his patented Scion of the Ur-Dragon deck! Let’s learn more about it!

What sets this deck apart from other decks?

  • “I get to play big dragon cards like Old Gnawbone. Where normally it is too much mana to realistically play, Scion of the Ur-Dragon gives us an avenue to utilize a different set of powerful creatures.”

What has been your biggest experience piloting such a unique deck in our current meta?

  • “Hearing about how excited other players are about this unique deck simply being played is very rewarding for me. When everyone saw Scion contribute to a stack as long as the table, it was sooo rewarding to feel like I was proving that this deck can tussle with some of the best decks in the format.”
